The Village

The Village Is created from ground plan drawings of buildings and flight of the imagination. Form, light and colours are the constructing forces of the work, forces that can activate the viewer’s sub-consciousness and memories and. The inner walls of the objects are painted in various luminous after-image colours from the surrounding colour palette; physiological colours that belong to the individual – and have their origin in the eye itself. On a human scale the miniature buildings of the Village appear as the remains of models built in concrete half below the ground’s surface and half above.
